502 Status Code in Convert API

Hello,
We are using the Convert API to convert files to PDFs and getting a lot of 502s.
Issue started today around 5:00 UTC
Please advise

@Cloudinary,
Thank you for contacting support.

I was unable to reproduce the error you described. Please share the following files and information:

  • sample presentation file
  • code example that reproduces the error
  • Aspose.Slides Cloud SDK and version you used

Sorry, I tagged the wrong API.
It actually happens in Aspose.Words when converting docs to PDF using this API
We’re not using an SDK, just the REST API.
Unfortunately I can’t share any docs publicly because they belong to our customers, but this seems to happen regardless of the the file sent.

We’re also experiencing the same issue and require a fix for this to be released ASAP.

@Cloudinary

Please try now and confirm. We have restarted the Aspose.Words Cloud service, and it is working fine now.

@tilal.ahmad thanks for the update. We are still seeing 504s intermittently so it appears that this isn’t fully resolved

@workflowmax2

It seems Aspose.Words Cloud service is working smoothly now. However, if you are still facing the issue, then please share your sample code to replicate the issue at our end.

Hi Tital,

Responding here for related replies together. Recieved 2 504 Gateway timeout to endpoint https://api.aspose.cloud/v4.0/words/connect/token (POST) at 6:39 and 7:00 AEST.

Assuming this endpoint has nothing to do with my merge data or docx as it is authentication related?

Does Aspose Cloud implement rate limiting or response time back offs to particular IPs?

If so, if our traffic is routed through a single public IP could we be getting slowed due to high traffic and requests? Can I supply that IP privately to check if the case?

We are encountering an increase in 502/504 errors again when trying to call Aspose Cloud Words/PDF - it seems this fix has regressed. This is unacceptable for a production environment and needs to be rectified ASAP.

We apologize for the issue caused.
It seems the Aspose.Words Cloud service is now running smoothly. However, if you continue to experience any issues, please let us know
