We’re seeing timeouts with slides endpoint when converting to Jpeg;
Operation timed out after 500000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received: https://api.aspose.cloud/v3.0/slides/convert/Jpeg
Noticed there was an outage 15 hours ago on the status page, is this still an issue?
Thanks
@kchoppin,
Thank you for contacting free support. I need some time to investigate the case. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
@kchoppin,
We have tried to reproduce the issue on our side but have not been able to observe the reported timeouts.
To help us investigate further, could you please provide the following information?
- The sample presentation(s) that consistently reproduce the issue.
- The complete request (or code sample) used to convert the presentation to JPEG.
- Whether you are using the REST API directly or one of our Cloud SDKs. If you are using an SDK, please specify the SDK name and version.
- The exact error message, HTTP status code, and response body returned when the timeout occurs.
- Whether the issue occurs consistently with the same presentation or only intermittently.
- The approximate frequency of the issue (for example, 1 out of 10 requests).
- The region where your application is running and any relevant environment details.
- If possible, the approximate date and time (including the time zone) when one or more failed requests occurred, so that we can review the server logs.
This information will help us reproduce the problem and investigate it further.
Hi,
I have just tested again today and this is now working as it was previously with the same presentation files.
At the time of report it was happening consistently with multiple presentation files, 5/5 attempts failed.
This seemed to be more of a host issue than an API issue, as the endpoint was not responding and we didn’t see any usage in our logs in the Aspose dashboard. We were making calls from AWS London region.
Hope this helps, thanks for your time.
@kchoppin,
Thank you for the update and the additional details. We are glad to hear that the conversion is working normally again.
The issue appears to have been temporary and related to endpoint availability rather than to specific presentation files.
If the issue occurs again, please let us know the approximate date and time of the failures, including the time zone, so that we can investigate the corresponding server logs.
