Recent intermittent issues converting Word to PDF using Aspose.Words.Cloud.Sdk in .NET Core

Hello Aspose Team,

Over the last few days, we have started experiencing intermittent issues when using Aspose.Words.Cloud.Sdk from a .NET Core application to convert Word documents to PDF. Until recently, this process was working reliably and without issues.

Specifically, when performing multiple conversion attempts using two different Word (.docx) files, we consistently received the same sequence of responses, without any changes to the files or request parameters:

  1. Bad Gateway (502)
  2. Success (conversion completed successfully)
  3. Timeout

This behavior was observed for both documents, following the same order of responses.

We are attaching both Word (.docx) files in case they help you reproduce the issue or perform tests on your side.

Please let us know if you need any additional information to support the investigation.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

@oscarc1985

You are experiencing intermittent issues when converting Word documents to PDF using the Aspose.Words.Cloud.Sdk in .NET Core, observing a repeating pattern of 502 Bad Gateway, Success, and Timeout errors . This behavior has been reported by others and may point to infrastructure or network instability on the Aspose cloud service side .

Based on the available information, it appears that these intermittent errors are not unique to your setup and could be related to temporary issues with the Aspose cloud infrastructure .

To mitigate such issues, you might consider deploying the Aspose.Words Cloud service internally using Docker, which allows you to host the service on your own infrastructure and avoid potential public cloud instabilities . You can find more details in the documentation for self-hosting Aspose.Words Cloud Docker Containers .

If the problem continues, please ensure you’re using the latest version of the SDK and consider reaching out to Aspose support for further investigation.

A support engineer will follow up in this thread if needed.
