How to update shape properties in PowerPoint Presentation Slide using Aspose.Slides REST API

Hello,

According to this link:
https://apireference.aspose.cloud/slides/#/Shapes/PutSlideShapeInfo

It should be possible to update “Text” property for a given Shape on a given Slide. The link above indicates that this is a PUT. However all of my attempts to form a PUT to do this are met with a 405 error, indicating that PUT is simply not allowed for this resource.How does one actually do this?

Also, would it be possible to update the documentation to accurately reflect how the product works?

I am able to reproduce your mentioned issue regarding
updating of Shape Text in a PPTX file. I have added an issue in our issue
tracking system with issue id: SAASWEBCORE-2232.
Our development team will further look into it and we will update you via
this forum thread once the issue gets resolved.

Excellent, thanks!

The use cases of most interest to us are:

  1. slide removal/substitution which seems to work normally
  2. text replacement (this ticket’s issue)
  3. image replacement (this would be fantastic for us if it can be supported.)

I just wanted to put all of this in one place for your consideration.

Thank you for the feedback.

A new feature request has been registered in our issue
tracking system with issue id: SAASSLIDES-138
to support image replacement feature. As soon as the feature gets available,
you will get a notification via this forum thread.
