Hi There,
We’re merging data with a Word document using the Aspose Cloud service, we’re then using the same cloud service to convert that word document to a PDF.
What we need to do is create a checkbox that with be available in the PDF and that the receiver of the PDF can check or uncheck.
Is this possible? We’ve tried added a checkbox in the word document but it comes across as a static object when converted to a PDF and is not clickable.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks
Dan Bailey
Hi Dan,
Thanks for your inquiry.
Dan: What we need to do is create a checkbox that with be available in the PDF and that the receiver of the PDF can check or uncheck.
You need to insert a checkbox form field into a Word document, I am afraid, inserting new checkbox form field in Word document is not supported by ou Cloud service at the moment. To address this problem, I have logged a new issue in our bug tracking system. The ID of this issue is SAASWORDS-127. Your thread has also been linked to this issue and you will be notified as soon as it is resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If your Word document already has checkbox form field(s), you can specify “PreserveFormFields” option to preserve form fields as usable controls in PDF and not as plain text. Please refer to the “PdfSaveOptions” section in the following page:
Best regards,
The issues you have found earlier (filed as SAASWORDS-127) have been fixed in this update.
