Hello,
I am experiencing a persistent issue with the Aspose.OMR Cloud API. The authentication endpoint (/connect/token) works perfectly and returns the JWT token. However, when I try to hit the template generation endpoint (v3.0/omr/GenerateTemplate), the server either returns a “503 Service Unavailable” or drops the connection completely (“curl: (56) Connection died, tried 5 times before giving up”).
This has been happening for the last couple of days.
Is this v3.0 endpoint currently down, deprecated, or undergoing maintenance? Are we supposed to use a different endpoint version for OMR template generation now?
Thank you for your help.
Hello, @jhosshr
Yes, OMR API v3.0 is deprecated and offline. I believe it was discontinued in 2024.
OMR API v4.0 is available, but has received no new updates for a very long time.
I personally recommend OMR API v5.0 or v5.1. Difference is that 5.1 also supports multipart-formdata. Documentation:
https://reference.aspose.cloud/omr/
https://api.aspose.cloud/v5.0/omr/swagger.json
https://docs.aspose.cloud/omr/send-form-source-for-generation/
https://docs.aspose.cloud/omr/send-form-for-recognition/
For creation of new form or to mark up an existing one - I recommend online tool :
Template generation and recognition API of v5 Cloud is identical to on-premise products. So any advanced template generation\recognition techniques can be taken from on-premise products :
