I got a RCA from the billing team:
There was a connection issue with the DB, which suddenly stopped responding to requests and sent a timeout exception to the billing application. Our hosting team migrated the VM with the database closer to other applications to avoid network hops. Also, some settings have been updated to address this issue, like increasing the maximum number of connections to DB and keeping alive monitoring has been set to check if the DB is okay.

This issue came again. We are seriously looking for other service providers now as this is repeating multiple times despite raising it. Please understand the severity of issue as this is impacting our businsesses
Sorry for the inconvenience. It was the billing service failed again. We are investigating changing the implementation to allow more freedom from billing service uptime.
We are currently experiencing a major outage with Aspose. What is going on?? We cannot activate billing on our self-hosted instance or generate your documents on your cloud API.
We need this fixed ASAP .
There was a connectivity issue with DB; the billing work has been restored, and the admin team is analyzing why this happened.
This time, even though the checkMeteredLicense flag was coming True in the API response, we got red marks in converted files. We need the API endpoint, which can help us know that there is an issue with the aspose service, and we can take necessary action. Please share that asap!!
The API is working fine now; Iām waiting for the RCA from the team to share.

We need same info through an api endpoint, so that we can switch the strategy. It is urgent!!!
There is no such endpoint now, and Iām not sure there is a plan to create one. I will ask the team about it.
Please do because we are thinking of changing our approach, like we will first call this api to check if service is fine or not, if not, we would internally change to backup strategy. Thus, it will be really helpful if you can provide the same

Yeah this same issue again today. Has happened 4 times in the past month. Today it was down for 3 hours. Every time weāre told the problem is resolved permanently, completely unreliable service.
