Support Twig or Ruby syntax in Mail Merge Templates in Aspose.Words Cloud API

The fairly new feature for merge-fields in documents is great, but since things like foreach features are supported, this can get complex.

The syntax is for 80% similar to the syntax that proven libraries like Twig (http://twig.sensiolabs.org/documentation) and Ruby haml (http://haml.info/tutorial.html) use. That is why I’d like to suggest start using/implementing the same syntax.

This significantly will improve the adoption of the feature, and thereby will increase the sales.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your inquiry. Firstly, I like to share with you that Aspose.Words mail merge engine support the regular Mail Merge and “Mustache” Template syntax.

Secondly, I have logged the requested feature (Use Twig or Ruby syntax in Cloud Templates feature) as SAASWORDS-121 in our issue tracking system. Our development team will look into the possibility of implementation of this requested feature. Once I have any information about this feature, I will update you via this thread.

Please let us know if you have any more queries.
