We meant a sample application, console, for instance, where your behavior is replicated for us to analyze. For now, we couldn’t reproduce it on our side. Also, a sample file would be really appreciated.
Hello!
Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with a test instance of our system due to data security concerns. We kindly ask you to propose an alternative solution to the problem.
Thank you.
We didn’t mean your system as the sample app. We wanted an application, even a console one, where you put your code, which causes a performance issue so that you can check only the code responsible for the conversion and also give us a better understanding of the reason for the performance downgrade.
Hello,
I apologize for the delayed response. We have developed a console application that allows you to simulate file generation and conversion. The application archive is available for download at the provided link.
An example file that will be used for testing can be found in the TestFiles folder, and you need to specify the values for API_KEY and APP_SID in the Program.cs file (located in the root folder of the archive).
We have also conducted our own testing, and you can find the results below.
FileConversionTest.docx (15.4 KB)
Thanks for sharing the project. We will look into it, and I reach out to you with the results.
Thanks. I’ll be waiting for your feedback.
Have a nice day!
Hello!
Could you please provide an update on the progress of analyzing our issue?
It is in a queue for analysis; I will reach out once it is finished
Hello!
Do you have any updates on our issue?
Thanks!
We made some tweaks, but it is not resolved entirely yet.
But on our side, the situation has only worsened. Previously, although the files took a long time to convert, they were successfully processed. Over the past few days, we have frequently encountered errors during file conversion, so much so that successful conversions are significantly fewer than unsuccessful ones. The errors are as follows:
- Aspose.Words.Cloud.Sdk.ApiException: Service Unavailable
- Aspose.Words.Cloud.Sdk.ApiException: Gateway Time-out
Yesterday, a cluster outage caused a Service Unavailable error, but it was resolved automatically. It shouldn’t be the case for now.
We will look into logs to check your requests regarding the timeout issue.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks, we’ll be waiting for update from you.
Hello!
Could you please tell me if there is any news regarding our problem?
We continue to receive a timeout error from time to time when converting files.
Thanks!
We completed the analysis using your sample app and reproduced this issue. It happens due to a network issue; as our service completes the conversion request with your file in 16 sec, ~45 seconds, the file is sent to our service, and ~20 seconds is sent back. We asked our admin team to fix this, probably by adding servers to another region, which may reduce the time to transfer files back and forth. Once they finish their job, I will reach out to you to give it another try.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience.
Thank you for information.
We will be waiting for further updates.
Hello!
Is there any news on the performance issue?
We continue to receive a timeout error when converting files.
Our production is migrating to another cluster; this process is complex and time-consuming, and the error you face is caused by the non-optimal network bandwidth between the old and new servers. As soon as migration is completed, there will be no bottleneck, and you will not get timeouts. I will ask our admin team if they can give an ETA.
Thanks for using our product and patience
