How to Create PowerPoint Presentation, Slide and Chart with Aspose.Slides Cloud API?

Hi,

We are using .slides .net component to generate rich PPT files with slides containing charts. Meanwhile we are trying to understand the capability of cloud API for .slides. As per documentation available in site, we realised that cloud API is limited to only manipulating the PPT files (like converting PPT files to other formats and manipulating with text that are available in PPT files which means that PPT files should be available for manipulation.) and cloud API does not have an option to create PPT files from scratch with rich charts and other PPT objects. Please help us in understanding the cloud API capability, that

1. Do you have cloud API to create PPT files from scratch which may contains slides with charts and all available
PPT objects (like OLE etc.,)
2. Is it possible for you to share all API available in cloud service for .Slides?
3. Please share us the sample representation xml/JSON (XML/JSON which can be used to represent what clients want to do with your web service) which can be used to create PPT files with charts and other PPT objects.

Please let me know for any clarification.

Hi Amit,

Yes, you are right. Creating presentations from scratch is not supported yet. Three issues to support creating presentation, slide and charts have already been logged into our issue tracking system as SAASSLIDES-109, SAASSLIDES-63 and SAASSLIDES-61 respectively. We will keep you updated on these issues in this thread.

These features are present in our codebase so it will take less time to implement and move these features to live service. We already have implemented a new feature to create presentations from templates but that feature is also in testing phase and not moved to live yet.

As far as available APIs are concerned, you can check all resources under our API reference at REST API Reference for more details on available features, request and response XML/JSON formats.

Please feel free to contact us in case you have further comments or questions.

Best Regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as SAASSLIDES-109) have been fixed in this update.
